Drum dryer is a kind of rotating continuous drying equipment with internal heat conduction. The rotating drum is adhered to a thickness of material film through its lower trough, and the heat is transported to the inner wall of the drum through the pipeline, conducted to the outer wall of the drum, and then conducted to the material film, so that the wetness in the material film can be evaporated, dehumidified, and the moisture-containing materials can be dried. The dried material is shovelled away from the drum by the scraper installed on the surface of the drum to the screw conveyor placed under the scraper, and the dry material is concentrated and packed through the screw conveyor.

Equipment features

High thermal efficiency. Because the heat transfer mechanism of the drum dryer is heat conduction, the direction of heat transfer is consistent throughout the operating cycle, in addition to the cover heat dissipation and heat radiation loss, the rest of the heat is used for the evaporation of the moisture of the cylinder material film, the thermal efficiency of up to 70% -80%.
◎ Operation flexibility, wide applicability. Many drying factors of the drum dryer can be adjusted. Such as the concentration of the feed material, the thickness of the coating film, the temperature of the heating medium, the rotation speed of the drum, etc., can change the drying efficiency of the drum dryer, and a number of factors are not related to each other. This brings great convenience to the drum drying operation, making it adaptable to the drying of a variety of materials and different output requirements.
Short drying time. The drying cycle of the material is generally only 10-300 seconds, in suitable for heat-sensitive materials. If the drum dryer is set in the vacuum, it can be operated under reduced pressure conditions.
Large drying rate. As the material film smeared on the cylinder wall is very thin, generally 0.3-1.5mm, and the direction of heat and mass transfer is the same, the surface of the material film can maintain the evaporation of 20-70kg.

Scope of application

It is suitable for drying liquid or more viscous materials in chemical industry, dyestuff, pharmacy, foodstuff, metallurgy and other industries.

Installation

This machine is installed according to the general layout of the installation, the ground should be level, the steam pipe inlet should be installed pressure gauge and safety valve, each steam inlet flange is firmly connected.

Maintenance

◎ Regularly check the rotation flexibility of the rotating parts, whether there is any jamming phenomenon. Sprocket and other parts should be regularly added to the grease, regular correction of pressure gauges and other measuring devices error. If there is serious wear and tear on the belt drive, it should be replaced in time.

Commissioning

After the installation of the machine, we should carry out the test run experiment first.
◎Start the main motor and observe the main drum steering correctly.
Observe whether the main drum and the transmission parts rotate flexibly, whether the steam inlet and outlet are connected and whether the pressure gauge is within the working pressure range.
◎Start the motor, the main drum running smoothly, the temperature rises after adding materials to adjust the speed of the motor and materials in the drum film uniformity to control the final moisture content of the material.
◎Starting the winch motor, output drying finished materials, according to the amount of drying finished products to adjust the speed of the winch motor.
