Equipment Overview
The hollow double shaft double paddle dryer can dry slurry, paste, granule and powder materials with indirect heating. This equipment is an indirect heating and stirring type dryer, with a jacket set on the cylinder body, a hollow rotating shaft, and hollow paddles set on the shaft and connected with the hollow shaft. This design not only improves the use area per unit volume, but also strengthens the heat transfer process and improves the heat transfer efficiency. The shell of paddle dryer is Ω-type, generally two hollow stirring shafts in the shell, the shell has a sealed end cover and the upper cover to prevent material dust and heat leakage.
Equipment features
Low energy consumption of paddle dryer: Due to indirect heating, there is no large amount of carrying air to take away the heat, and the outer wall of the dryer is set with thermal insulation layer, for slurry materials, evaporation of 1kg of water requires only 1.2kg of water vapour.
Low cost of paddle dryer system: the effective volume of the unit has a huge heat transfer surface, it shortens the processing time, equipment size becomes smaller. It greatly reduces the construction area and building space.
◎ Wide range of materials to be processed: using different heat media, it can process both heat-sensitive materials and materials requiring high-temperature treatment. Commonly used media are: water vapour, thermal oil, hot water, cooling water and so on. It can be operated continuously or intermittently, and can be applied in many fields.
Environmental pollution is small: do not use the carrying air, dust material entrainment is very small. Material solvent evaporation is small, easy to handle. For polluted materials or working conditions that require solvent recovery, closed loop can be used.
◎Low operating costs: small wear and tear, very low maintenance costs.
◎ Stable operation: Due to the special compression-expansion stirring effect of the wedge-type slurry leaves, the material particles are fully in contact with the heat transfer surface, and the gradient of temperature, humidity and mixing degree of the material is very small in the axial zone, thus ensuring the stability of the process.
