Advantages of the Vacuum Rake Dryer:


(1) High adaptability and broad applicability. Utilising jacket heating and high-vacuum exhaust, the rake vacuum dryer accommodates virtually all materials of differing properties and states. It is particularly suited for drying substances prone to oxidation, explosives, highly irritant materials, and potent toxins.


(2) Superior Product Quality: During drying, the rake teeth continuously rotate in both directions, ensuring thorough mixing of the material. This prevents overheating, facilitates efficient moisture escape, and yields products at low temperatures. The resulting fine particle size eliminates the need for grinding prior to packaging.


(3) Low steam consumption: Vacuum paddle dryers predominantly utilise steam introduced into the jacket, employing latent heat to warm the material. Steam consumption per kilogram of finished product is minimal, typically ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 kg.


(4) Sealing system options: Depending on the material's characteristics and requirements, the dryer's sealing system can be configured with either packing seals or mechanical seals. Specialised design ensures both sealing integrity and extended service life.


(5) Operational Ease Vacuum paddle dryers are straightforward to operate, requiring minimal staffing and low labour intensity. Reduced material escape losses improve environmental hygiene.


The primary drawbacks of the vacuum paddle dryer are: complex structure and relatively high cost. Being intermittent in operation, it involves extended drying times and low batch throughput. Furthermore, the difficulty in completely discharging material renders it unsuitable for production requiring frequent product changeovers. Additionally, regular maintenance and servicing of the vacuum apparatus are essential to maintain the required vacuum level.
