The XSG series rotary flash dryer is widely applicable for dispersing and drying pseudo-agglomerated materials in granular, powdered, paste-like, and filter cake forms across industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, building materials, and food processing. It offers advantages including a compact footprint, low energy consumption, high thermal efficiency, and the capability for continuous large-scale production. The drying unit incorporates a rotating cutting mechanism. Through shearing, rotation, collision, and friction, the material is finely pulverised and highly dispersed, achieving efficient and rapid moisture evaporation.
Characteristics of the Rotary Flash Dryer:
1. High evaporation intensity and substantial production capacity: Based on over 160 practical drying applications, the evaporation intensity ranges from 10⁶ to 1100 kg/m·h. Under identical conditions, its production capacity is five times that of fluidised bed dryers.
2. Broad applicability and superior product quality: Accepts wet materials with moisture content ranging from 5% to 85%, producing dried products with moisture levels between 0.1% and 10%. Particle size can be freely adjusted between 40 and 400 mesh. Ensures consistent quality indicators for diverse products, such as colour and flavour in foodstuffs, or hue, intensity, and solubility in dyes.
3. Energy efficiency: Steam consumption per tonne of product is three times lower than fluidised bed dryers and 1.5 times lower than conventional rotary flash dryers. Electricity consumption is 1.7 times lower than fluidised bed dryers.
4. Sealed System with Zero Material Loss and Eliminated Environmental Pollution Operating under negative pressure, the dryer simultaneously performs grinding, dispersion, drying, and classification within the chamber. The dried product requires no further grinding, achieving multi-functional operation in a single unit.
5. Eliminates wall adhesion of paste-like materials. The drying gas forms a vigorous rotating airflow within the drying cylinder, exerting a strong scrubbing effect on material adhering to the vessel walls to prevent sticking.
6. Compact structure with minimal footprint, requiring few operators and low labour intensity for straightforward operation.
7. Thermally sensitive materials avoid direct contact with the high-temperature zone at the dryer base, preventing coking and discolouration issues.
8. Equipped with a specialised feeder, the flash dryer resolves bridging and blockage problems in filter cake materials. This enables uniform, metered, continuous, and stable feeding into the dryer, overcoming the challenge of feeding viscous materials.
9. Key components are readily replaceable, with adjustable critical control parameters to modulate material residence time, accommodating diverse drying requirements.
10. Installation is simplified and maintenance is facilitated. The design demonstrates technical feasibility, advanced functionality, and practical utility.
